Webinar Description:

Pervious Concrete: Hydrological Design and Resources (PCHD) software is a flexible and powerful tool to assist engineers in determining the basic hydrologic system design for pervious concrete stormwater management systems. Using the Curve Number method, PCHD provides the user with the necessary stone depth for use under a pervious concrete pavement to meet the user-input site criteria. PCHD also provides hydrologic tables and graphs to provide the user with both a numeric and graphic explanation of system performance. The Webinar explains how the software works along with strategies for making effective use of this outstanding tool.

Program Elements Include:

  • Strategies for utilizing PCHD software to gain access to specifiers and secure pervious concrete stormwater management system projects.

  • In-depth explanation of software functionality, input and output data, results tables and graphs and other associated materials provided on the disk.

  • Step-by-step instructions on how to input data and use the software for simple Systems and how to modify input data to provide solutions for non-standard Systems (including how to design and calculate storage underneath adjacent rigid, non-porous pavements).

  • Discussion of how pervious concrete stormwater management systems can be used in soils traditionally considered to be “impermeable.”
