Next Scheduled Seminar: To Be Announced
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) have teamed up to offer the seminar Designing High Performance Concrete Structures.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This course will help design engineers, contractors, and concrete producers understand how to design and build high-performance concrete structures exposed to harsh environments. This includes projects such as bridges, roadways, plazas, parking structures, marine structures, and any other structure with exposed concrete. Using performance-based specifications, recommendations are provided for designing and specifying concrete that is able to resist failure mechanisms such as corrosion, alkali-silica reactivity, sulfate attack, and freeze-thaw. Learn the latest design methodologies for resisting severe loading under circumstances including hurricanes, tornadoes, and fire. Also learn how to best utilize high performance concrete to provide environmentally friendly building solutions.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This seminar is intended for concrete producers, contractors, and design engineers.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
As an ASCE Continuing
Education Course, this seminar provides attendees with 1.4 Continuing Education Units (CEU)
or 14 Professional Development Hours (PDH).
