Four Positions Available in MTSU Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Program

This nationally recognized 4-year degree program continues to grow at a rapid pace, and there are several faculty positions that need to be filled with well-qualified industry personnel.

CIM Director Master's degree in a technical field or a field directly related to management in the concrete industry. Doctorate required for tenure. Knowledge of concrete, its uses, and the industry. Experience or knowledge relevant to concrete related courses and to provide leadership over program by working cooperatively with concrete industry.

Faculty position  Master's degree in academic discipline related to concrete or management in the concrete industry required with preference given to doctoral candidates. Doctorate required for tenure. Industry experience and track record of securing external funding for research activity preferred. Ability to teach variety of concrete-related courses, including: materials science, construction practices, production management, ethics and legal principles. Available January 1, 2007.

Faculty position, Tenure-Track Master's degree in an area closely related to concrete or management in the concrete industry required. Doctorate required for tenure. Industry experience and track record of securing external funding for research activity preferred. Ability to teach variety of concrete-related courses, including: materials science, construction practices, production management, and ethics and legal principles.

Faculty position, Professional/Clinical-Track Position is non-tenurable for fixed term and is renewable up to 5 years. Master's degree in academic discipline related to concrete or management in the concrete industry with at least 3 years of industrial experience required. Ten years experience preferred. Ability to teach variety of concrete-related courses, including: materials science, construction practices, production management, ethics and legal principles.
