Eileen Dickson
Vice President, Education
Eileen Dickson is Vice President, Education,
at the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association in Silver Spring, MD.
She serves as staff liaison to both NRMCA’s Educational Activities
Committee and the Operations, Environmental, and Safety Committee’s
Human Resource Task Group. Responsibilities include managing association
education professional development programs, webinars and accompanying
publications, the industry’s career-centric STEPS certification program,
as well as issues pertaining to human resources. She also administers
the annual Innovation and Excellence-in-Training award programs.
Finally, Eileen sits on the Concrete Industry Management Education
Committee and CONEXPO-CON/AGG’s Education Committee.
Eileen is one of the principle instructors for NRMCA’s Plant Manager
Certification course, Fleet Manager certification course, and one of the
primary developers and instructors for the Supervisor Certification
course.
Prior to joining the Association, Eileen was responsible for business
development and strategic planning for Thomson Prometric, a
computer-based certification test developer. She has also been US sales
manager for various multinational luxury goods companies, including the
jewelry firm, Cartier SSA. Part of Eileen’s responsibilities were
developing training programs for customers, including Neiman Marcus and
Saks Fifth Avenue. She was also Cartier’s representative to the American
Watch Association and Jewelers Board of Trade, where she not only
focused on grassroots activities to lower US luxury tariffs as barriers
of trade but also annually participated in fly-ins to meet with
congressmen on Capitol Hill.
Eileen holds a Master of Science degree in marketing from The Johns
Hopkins University with additional post graduate work in Adult Learning
and Instructional Systems Design from UMBC. Her baccalaureate degree is
in Secondary Education from Duquesne University. She is a trained
mediator and member of the Mediation and Conflict Resolution Office
under the umbrella of the Maryland Court of Appeals. She is also a
member of the Maryland Council for Dispute Resolutions and Maryland
Program for Mediator Excellence. Her volunteer services specialize in
restorative justice and community mediation.
