Webinar Description:
Dramatically increased fuel and electrical utility costs in the summer of 2008 opened concrete producers’ eyes to the importance of conserving energy in every way possible. At the same time, the US Green Building Council’s LEED program and the general movement towards “green construction” continued to gain momentum. More and more major projects demand maximized recycled content in construction materials and stellar environmental performance by subcontractors and suppliers. NRMCA engages in some crystal-ball-gazing about how these factors may change the appearance and the best management practices of ready mixed concrete plants in the not-too-distant future.
