The Benefits of Belonging - Contractor Members
A team of professionals ready
to help you! NRMCA members consider the
association’s professional staff as an extension of their own. Our experts in
promotion, educational development, environmental compliance, plant operations,
fleet management, safety issues, legislative action and engineering technology
are all just a phone call away!
National promotion grows the
pie
NRMCA’s National Accounts program helps ensure that concrete’s many advantages
are fully understood by large companies who have the potential to specify
concrete. NRMCA’s national field promoters have developed relationships with
scores of top developers, owners, engineers and others. The measurable results
mean more concrete specified and more concrete poured. Membership support is
what makes this vital program possible.
Advocacy at the Federal level
looks out for industry interests
Without strong representation before national lawmakers, the ready mixed
concrete industry could be left behind in the shuffle for federal dollars.
NRMCA’s professional staff of lobbyists is dedicated to securing favorable
legislation that will increase opportunities for ready mixed concrete producers.
Valuable educational tools,
certifications and more For over 25
years, NRMCA’s Concrete Technologist Certification, or "Technical Short Course,"
has provided industry personnel with quality training on concrete and aggregates
technology, followed by testing for ACI Grade I Field Testing Technician and ACI
Flatwork Technician certifications. Membership in NRMCA also means low member
prices on NRMCA’s comprehensive library of concrete technology, promotion and
other publications, including NRMCA’s famous Concrete in Practice (CIP) series.
CIP provides 39 one-page information sheets on important technical topics,
written in a non-technical "What, Why and How?" format. Use them as part of your
educational plan to ensure quality and value.
Your voice on codes and
standards Without strong
representation on codes and standards setting bodies, concrete could lose market
share. NRMCA’s participation on all major standards and codes committees
counters the aggressive tactics used by the interests of steel, wood and other
construction materials. Codes and standards are the backbone of this industry
and NRMCA plays an integral part in designing concrete’s future.
