NRMCAs new
CCPf,
designation gives ready mixed concrete industry employees the
fundamental technical, operational, sales and managerial information
needed to prepare for and enhance careers in the industry.
To earn a CCPf, participants must complete 120 hours of
coursework. From Introduction to Concrete Fundamentals
review of the basics to the Strategic Leadership Capstones
coalescing of the programs teachings, CCPfs highly interactive
courses expose participants to a broad range of best practices in four
important areas of study:
Business Management
Concrete Technology
Operations and Production
Sales, Marketing & Promotion

individual company and independent training programs.

Certification
There is no time limit for completion of a Career Track.
All past NRMCA coursework is grandfathered if taken in the last 5 years. If
the NRMCA course required sitting for an exam, the applicant must have passed
the exam at that time. If the applicant did not take the course's exam, the
applicant can take it at his or her convenience if proctored by an independent
third party, to be arranged by the applicant and approved by NRMCA's Education
Department. The exam fee is $100.
Certifications required in a Career Track must be current at time of
graduation and CCPf Certification application to NRMCA Education Department.
Application for CCPf can be downloaded on NRMCA's, website. www.NRMCA.org/STEPS.
Payment of $150 must accompany the application for CCPf Certification.
Application for Certification must be received
by June 1 of each year.
Certificates will be conferred on September 1
of each year.
Courses and seminars from other organizations can apply toward certification
and re-certification
if approved by NRMCA Educational Activities Committee.
If transfer credit is granted, the applicant must sit for and pass NRMCAs
equivalent exam. The exam fee is $100 and must be administered by an
independent third party, to be arranged by the applicant and approved by NRMCAs
Education Department.
Applications for transfer of credit from an outside organization can be
downloaded from NRMCA's website, www.NRMCA.org/STEPS.
Applications for credit transfer from an outside organization's course are due
into NRMCA no
later than March 1 of the certification year.
Acceptance of transfer credit for certification
or re-certification from an outside organization
is under the sole discretion of the NRMCA Educational Activities Committee.
Certification Renewal
Every five years, complete 24 hours of continuing education related to the
ready mixed concrete
business.
Continuing education can be provided by NRMCA or another organization.
Acceptance of transfer credit for certification
or re-certification from an outside organization
is under the sole discretion of the NRMCA Educational Activities Committee.
The application for Certification Renewal must be signed by the applicant's
supervisor.
Payment of $150 must accompany the application for Certification Renewal.
Application for Certification Renewal must be received by June 1 of each year.
Re-certification will be conferred on September 1
of each year.
Certifications listed under required courses for
a Career Track must be current at the time of
certification award and renewal. If Certification Renewal requires classroom
time, it can be
counted towards continuing education requirements when listed under course
requirements.
Those certifications that must be renewed are: Concrete Technologist Level 2,
Plant Manager Certification, 10 Hour OSHA Certification for General Industry,
NRMCA Environmental Professional Certification, any American Concrete Institute
certifications including Grade 1 Field Technician.
