Proposed Tariffs on China, Mexico, Canada…

“NRMCA is encouraged by the recent decision to pause the implementation of tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico for 30 days. This temporary resolution provides short-term relief and we are hopeful of a long-term solution that does not negatively impact the ready mixed concrete industry, which relies on imported cement and aggregates to meet demand and support infrastructure, residential, and commercial construction.

We appreciate the engagement of the Trump Administration and policymakers on this issue and remain hopeful that a long-term solution can be reached—one that ensures future tariff actions do not disrupt the supply chain for critical construction materials. NRMCA will continue working closely with industry partners and government leaders to advocate for policies that support economic growth, infrastructure investment, and a stable, reliable supply of materials essential to our nation’s built environment.”
