NRMCA’s Walgenbach Named Executive Vice President, Operations and Compliance

National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Senior Vice President, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs, Kevin Walgenbach, has been named executive vice president, operations and compliance, effective January 1, 2024. Mr. Walgenbach has played a key role in conducting educational training for NRMCA members, including organizing regional seminars and workshops along with the Plant Manager, Safety, Dispatcher and Environmental courses. He has also done exceptional work on NRMCA’s recognition programs such as the annual Safety Award, Environmental Excellence Awards, Driver of the Year Award, Safety Benchmarking Survey and Regulatory Enforcement Survey; and has raised the profile and impact of ConcreteWorks and the National Mixer Driver Championship program.
“Kevin has been with the Association for 17 years and has done an outstanding job in each of his many responsibilities. He has advised the ready mixed concrete industry on compliance with safety, labor, operations and environmental regulations and has also led the Association’s efforts to monitor and advocate on key regulatory issues of importance to the industry before Federal executive branch agencies,” said NRMCA President Michael Philipps. “We are confident that he’ll continue to be an invaluable part of NRMCA going forward.”
In addition to his duties listed above, Mr. Walgenbach also oversees the administration of the NRMCA Certifications and Production departments, and manages the Truck Mixer Manufacturers Bureau, Concrete Plant Manufacturers Bureau and Volumetric Mixer Manufacturers Bureau. His experience with, and previous positions in the NRMCA Government Affairs Department working on legislative issues, bring a unique and valuable knowledge to the mission of the Safety, Environmental and Operations Department.
He is a graduate of California State University, Chico, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, a minor in international relations and was a student of Chico’s Concrete Industry Management program. Mr. Walgenbach is a certified paralegal and Authorized OSHA Trainer (AOT).
